Website no longer ranking
I have a Google Ad campaign that made my website rank the number one when a keyword was searched for a couple of weeks. Suddenly, it does not appear as number one or even part of the results while the campaign was still active and the credit is not exhausted.

SEO is organic search results that appear BELOW the ads. I know what you mean, but you didn’t rank #1.
You need to look at the keywords/search terms your google ad campaign is set up to target and ensure you’re bidding high enough, because if your competitors are bidding more than you, you won’t appear #1.

Could you be more specific about the context? What type of site and campaign? Industry? Have you checked the serp from other incognito browser?

AdWords has nothing to do with organic rankings. You must be referring to the ad position.
