    Web Logs Shopify

We seem to be under attack on our Google Performance Max campaigns. Hundreds of add to carts daily a 30 to 50 percent click to add to cart rate. Obviously a targeted attack. I spoke to Google and they asked me to get the web log report for them to verify fraudulent activity. How do I get this on Shopify? I imagine I am not the first to have to battle fraudulent clicks like this. How did you guys handle the situation? Meanwhile the campaign is running and wasting all its spend with 0 actual sales. The spending is starting to rack up.

you have to subscribe to an IP logging app inside shopify. While you are at it, install something called mouseflow (mouseflow.com its free), add the tracking code inside the header. This will allow you to watch the users using your site like you were behind their desk watching them. Watch for dramatic scrolling to the bottom of each page, this can indicate a bot. Mouseflow will also tell you the country of the IP address, so you can block the country from seeing you ads. Dont hold out much hope from a google refund, although I have succesfully had a few approved, but the time and effort it takes, its a hollow victory.

Maybe you are just targeting the wrong type of traffic because of your shopping feed. If this is a feed only PMax campaign, your shopping feed has a huge impact on what searches your ads are triggered for.
