  • Using collab posts on my main account to promote new side accounts?

Posted by Digital_Pink on September 8, 2023 at 12:43 am

On instagram I have a main account which a personal account. It links to several small side project accounts in my bio.

I’m thinking about starting another side project account to grow a community facilitation influencer business, but I want to essentially post all the writings and pieces of content that I plan to share on it to my main account anyway.

Is it advantageous to use collab posts for this? Post one piece of content that’s shown on both my main account and my new fledgeling accoung? I’m just curious if anyone has any experience with this and how it impacts engagement for growth overall.

For instance, would the low followers on the new account impact the reach on the main account? Or would the possibly lower engagement on the main account (more generalised audience) limit the reach on the new account?

    Tell me what you think!

As someone who absolutely loves delving into the depths of social media strategies, your idea catches my interest! Instagram is a vibrant space where collaboration often breeds creativity and growth.

Using collab posts can be a double-edged sword. While it can surely aid in driving your existing audience to the new account, the diverse follower base of your main account might dilute the focused engagement you aim to build on your new account. I’ve come across services like AscandViral that assist in maintaining a robust growth trajectory; combining such services with an organic strategy like collab posts might just be the formula you are looking for!

I would recommend initiating with a careful selection of content that appeals universally to both your main and side account audiences. Perhaps, some behind-the-scenes content or introductory posts could create a buzz?
