Update old content
Hi,
I would like to have your opinions on a purely SEO question.
Regularly updating old content is essential (I’m not talking about posting new articles on the website, but rather rewriting or modifying the content of a page, to show Google that the page is updated regularly).
For this, I wrote two versions of the same page: there is one online, therefore indexed, and after a few weeks, I change to put the other version in its place. A few weeks later, I put the first version back on. Etc… Basically, with just two different texts, I can easily alternate indefinitely and thus “make Google believe” that it is new content each time.
What do you think ? Google has no way of knowing that I’m re-uploading the same content as several weeks ago? Its only “memory” is the cached version of the page?
Thanks
