I’ve been wanting to make my blog multi-lingual for a while now and I just figured out chatgpt can translate nearly perfectly. Is it a good idea to use AI translated texts for my blog from an seo perspective? (the original post is written by me, not AI)

Just use [https://writeseed.com](https://writeseed.com) to write new ones with the same topic, it works for over 50+ languages

It’s only a good idea if the translation comes out correctly. Google Translate and other APIs can do this too, it really comes down to, what’s the best output. Only a native speaker within the language would be able to let you know.

Therefore, I recommend asking/playing a native speaker to review the translated result. If they are able to see a near 1:1 translation, you have a match.

It might be worth it to disclose that the article had been translated using a service.

Sometimes machine language translations are off and this is part of an issue I run in with Japanese so unless you are a fluent speaker or say the text is really basic then you may want to reconsider or find someone to do a copy edit for you so it sounds right to your target audience.
