    Traffic But No Sales

Posted by seohelper on May 11, 2020 at 11:21 am

    Hello!

So I’ve been running FB ads for about a week now. It is a digital product, Lightroom presets.

I spent about $150 in the last 6 days. First I did cold interests, then I did cold Lookalikes which performed better and also retargeting all visitors, top 25%, ATC… I did CBO mostly. I got 500k reach, more than 3k store visitors, about 200 add to carts, and 1 sale. Placements: FB and IG feed and story. Changed 2 creatives, 2 new photos, and 1 video which performed poorly. My CTR average is 0,50%

What am I doing wrong? I would appreciate some help. Thanks, guys.

You could be making too many changes during the learning phase. I find that most campaigns I set up take about a week or so to start bring in the results I want. Pick your best performing audiences and ads and give them s chance to run for a while without making changes.

Also, what type of campaign is this? Facebook is pretty good at doing what you tell it to so if you choose the traffic objective, you’re going to get traffic and not much else. If sales is what you want, create a conversion campaign optimizing for sales.

Running cold traffic straight to a product sales page can be tough. Are you collecting leads?

I think the other two comments cover good topics but how are you setting up your funnel? I don’t think you can get direct sales from just 1 ad. I would suggest setting up your landing page to sell the product and see who is spending the most time on the landing page before retargeting them with a specific FB ad. I don’t know anything about Lightroom presets but I’m sure your target customer will need multiple “touches” before conversion

Since you did get people adding to cart, but not purchasing, the issue is probably not your ads. The issue is probably your website. Does the checkout flow work nicely, is it trustworthy or does it look like it’s going to steal people’s credit card info, are there too many stages making it cumbersome for the user…
