Tracking conversions in Google Analytics
I need to track when someone fills out a form on my website and mark it as a conversion in GA4. I also need to know where they are coming from since I am running ads in Facebook.
My form is hosted on Powr.io, which then redirects to an order confirmation page on my website once submitted. When someone reaches that page it’s counted as a conversion.
I also have utm parameters in my Facebook ad links, so I know which ad brought someone to my site.
Now my problem is that on every test I’ve done the conversion is being marked as coming from Powr.io as it’s source, instead of the ads. I can see that the ads are being marked as bringing traffic to the site, but not as the source of conversions.
How can I go about fixing this? It’s also very difficult to test in GA4 since it takes so long for data to populate so I’m hoping for some advice. Thank you.
