Tracking 50-60 hashtags
Hello! I'm not in marketing and I don't have any social media management experience, but I've inherited a project running a PSA contest for students to make short videos promoting safe driving. In the past, we had a contest hashtag they would use, and then each group had their own individual one to use, as well. I believe we used Brand24 in the past, and then tracked the hashtags for about a month and selected the winners.
In my research of other company products to use, the team at Awario sent me to their FAQ page to an article titled Limitations of Facebook and Instagram monitoring, and said Instagram limits you to tracking 30 hashtags per week. I've had a hard time verifying this information because other companies haven't mentioned it at all, and I couldn't make any sense of Instagram's API page, so I figured I'd ask if folks here could give me more insights.
Assuming it IS a problem, any ideas on how I could structure my contest because we expect 50-70 registrants, each with their own hashtag, plus the contest one. So far, my thoughts were them tagging my organization in their posts, but I'd need to talk to our marketing team about that, and I'm not sure it would even work.
Any advice is helpful, and I can certainly answer questions. I haven't picked my monitoring tool yet, though we would want one that can at the very least do Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter (LinkedIn would be a bonus).
