    Hey guys,

I help a friend run an account about personal development. The account is 6 month old. The content is very safe, with no swear words or sensitive topics. We have a high-quality video team behind it, including a copywriter, video editor, and social media manager. So far, we have posted over 50 TikToks, but they only receive an average of 200 views, which is quite low. On Instagram, however, our organic reach goes up to 20K.

What bothers me the most is that approximately one out of every ten videos receives either 0 or 1 view. Something is definitely off, and I’m trying to figure out the cause.

    Here are my hypothesis:

    1. We use a VPN to target a foreign audience, which has been effective. However, VPN IPs are not stable, and this inconsistency might be causing issues with TikTok’s algorithm.
    2. We log in on 2-3 different devices, including a virtual machine.
    3. We upload videos through the desktop interface.
    4. We were playing around with posting schedule, so some posts went live at 2PM, some at 2AM.
    5. Content inconsistency. We have 30%/70% split between content with voiceover-only and my friend in the frame respectively.

*Could any of these factors be the cause of the low viewership? Or is there anything else I might be missing?*

I appreciate any insights or suggestions you can provide. Thanks in advance!

How no 1 “has been effective” if you’re making this post?

    What’s the account name?

I’ve had the same, same niche, 3 or 4 of my videos have 0 views. I don’t understand it.

Your hypotheses make sense. The inconsistencies might be affecting your views on TikTok.

Happen to me too. The most weird thing is if I delete the video and upload it again, I would get views a hour later. I honestly think it’s a bug.
