TikTok doesn’t care about their creators. – A creator‘s perspective
This is a little summary of the experience I have with TikTok as a Creator with 2.5M+ followers.
It all started 2.5 years ago when i created my account. It all went smoothly and I applied for the creator program within the first week and easily got accepted. But from that point on, contacting TikTok or getting any brief support from them was basically impossible.
If you want know, my Account Name is @stickmanwar. I had the idea for the type of content im doing, and from time to time I saw people blatantly copying my exact content or just reuploading Videos.
So I contacted TikTok support. No answer at all. I reported the Accounts that reuploaded my exact Videos. No Updates on that. With this in mind i requested to let me have a verified badge, but obviously they also just didn’t answer – again. It’s gotten to the point where there’s multiple accounts that use a weird scheme to look exactly like my account to write my followers that they „won“ something to lure them on their website. Reported them a week ago, no Update, no Verified Badge for a 2.5M+ creator.
But it’s even worse. I recently needed to update my payment information and somehow my age got input falsely, making me under 18 years old, which lead to the removal of several mandatory features, like going Live or embedding a Link in the Bio. These are Both features that are very important for me as a creator, so i contacted them – multiple times – again. Nothing ever happened. No one ever answers. Why isn’t there a priority system for bigger creators ar least? The weird thing is, in the same time frame of asking the other questions, I also asked them about how the creator fund calculates the money output… and interestingly they answered that question just ONE DAY after I asked it.
I just don’t know what to do anymore.
TikTok seems to not care about their own creators. Specifically their creators will and ability to produce the content they‘d like.
