Tiktok and fyp
Does anyone know what tiktok chooses to put on the fyp? I’ve literally tried so many different types of videos and I usually only get 100-200 views. The most I’ve gotten is like 400. I’ve posted so many times and each time is a flop. Right now one of my videos only has 1 view and it’s been 20 min. Can someone please explain it to me?

i honestly think the fyp has to be somewhat random. people talk about “account authority” and other stuff too but i just think there has to be some randomness

This IS the question. I had one video hit 1,000 views, the next topped out at 6 (I have 70 followers). Made my account in Feb. TikTok is one I’m struggling with!! Lol. But still having fun on it.

I found one that had 0 comments and 0 likes on my FYP. I notice it goes by location a lot. When I was in Singapore there were a lot of Singaporean accounts that showed up. I live in a big city but very small in comparison to the rest of my country (Aus) and see a lot of accounts from here

Each FYP is personalized (that’s why it’s called FYP) and also regionalized. You need to post relatable and original content, or follow the trends and add your own flair to it. Don’t try to cover everything. Stick to one niche (dancing, comedy, art). TikTok will authorize your account when you stick to one theme. Post at times when most users are online (5pm-1am EST). TikTok will send your content to first batch consisting of 50-100 random people. If these selected people engage well with your video, TikTok will then send to 100-500, etc. Use hashtags!! Always use #foryou #fyp #foryoupage, then relevant hashtags and at least one trending hashtag! However, don’t spam your caption with more than 6-7. Also add caption if you think it adds to your content. Engage with comments and likes! Always reply to comments to keep users interested.
I can only speak from experience! Started TikTok 1 and a half week ago and gained almost 3k followers, 50k likes and my most watched video has 60k views. It’s doing good so far. Activate the ‘Pro Account’ tool (free) to have a look in your analytics. Helps a lot to see how you’ve progressed. Hope I could help 🙂

I have 4500 TikTok followers. What’s your TikTok screenname? I might be able to help you. Results don’t happen immediately and hashtags and captions matter. I can tell you my method of hashtag creation. It seems to work I get an average of 600 – 700 views per video. 100 -200 views is good for a new creator. You should be putting out 2 – 3 TikToks per day. TikTok loves consistency. Also make sure you’re on a pro account so you can check your analytics.

After some experimenting I noticed my views went up by the hundreds when I was interacting in comments with other accounts. My best video happened when I uploaded around the same time those HypeHouse guys do (it’s 5pm EST for me) and interacting with the FYP at that time helps to bring viewers to your page. The FYP bases off a few things that I’ve learned so far: region, video quality, and how long people watch your video before scrolling. Likes and comments obviously fall under that as well, but I think you get the drift.

Use hashtags to create an algorithm. That is mainly all. I suppose the sound and length of video play a role, but that’s not a huge part. The following u have is tertiary.

Here’s how.
First I used a topic that is non existent on tik tok. People love new stuff. Ant-keeping is new to a lot of people.
I did a video of me dying a species that is slightly see through but made people Come back as it took a day or two to sink into them. That’s the real hook aswell 🙂
I uploaded my video 11:30 am or so.
