  • Tech company asks me to promote their app on Linkedin, but I don’t know how to form a price

I have a personal LinkedIn account with 20k followers, I talk a lot about design, tech, career, etc.

One company reached out to me wanting to promote their SaaS trough my posts.

They asked for a price and packages but I never did that before and I have no idea how to define pricing.

LinkedIn does not have any tools for personal accounts to track click rates. You can only see engagement and impressions for each post.

Your advice is more than welcome.

Curious if it is a tool you have actually used and genuinely support and will you be declaring that it is sponsored post when you shill it to your followers?

You only need impressions to price it anyways, this things are typically priced on impressions not clicks.

First off, there is no standardization for this kind of stuff. For normal influencer campaigns. I’ve seen influencers with 20k followers charge anywhere from $600 to $2000 for a single post. Since your audience is B2B focused, I’d say you can charge the higher end.

Just put something to together and see what they say. These things are always negotiable

Not sure if it makes sense, but check LinkedIn Ads CPM cost. Then price at least 50%-100% above that. Might give you an idea of what businesses are willing to pay for normal ads.

    This is a two-part answer:

1). I hire User-Generated Content (UGC) creators to produce content for my online boutique. Those who are experts in my niche charge starting at USD 250 per reel. They also offer packages; for example, creating five reels costs $750, and photos are priced at $150. Additionally, they charge renewal fees. For instance, if a UGC creator produces an ad or content intended for advertising, the company holds the rights for three months. After that period, the rights must be renewed with the creator for about $100 or more.

2). If they ask you to promote on your LinkedIn feed, where there are a lot of professionals and businesses, then you should charge 2-5% of your following count. Depending on your niche, demand, engagement rate for your posts, and the quality of your content, for example, expert at video or photos.

That’s a great opportunity, but figuring out a price can be tricky. I’d say it depends on a few factors, like how much influence you have, the size of your network, and how much effort it’ll take to promote the app.

You could start by looking at industry standards to get a ballpark idea. Also, you could check out Ignite Marketing for some insights on pricing strategies for LinkedIn promotions. They might have useful info on how to set rates based on your audience and engagement.
