    Targeting Ads Help

Posted by diilym1230 on June 28, 2024 at 10:24 pm

Anyone have any experience targeting ZIP Codes in Google Ads and finding the leads coming in being outside that ZIP Code.

I know the targeting settings say “ in or regularly in the targeted location”
Meaning it’s not guaranteed that those submitting leads live in the ZIP Code.

I’m just curious if others have had clients like this. They only buy leads from us if it’s in a certain ZIP Code.

One option I thought of is qualifying them through the form. But they already clicked the ad so it’s saving me any money past the click.

Another tricky thing is the certain ZIP Codes targeted can slightly change every Monday.

It’s annoying and rough to say the least .

You can exclude all of the other zip codes from which you want to avoid getting leads.

Google uses IPs like most tech businesses to figure out locations, so if the person is a few blocks outside the location. Then that could just be an IP issue. If the person is 100 miles away, well something might be up.
