Struggling with ads for an online beauty store

Posted by Automatic_Fox_49 on August 12, 2024 at 5:11 pm

I started running google ads for an online store that sells products for beauty salons/spas etc, and has 106 products.

Exactly 5 days ago I set a feed only Pmax campaign for all 106 products at a 15 dollar daily budget. I didn’t do any optimizations except making their website look better for higher conversions, changing the titles, descriptions and some images of the products, because I don’t want to make any big decisions before I have some more data.

The problem is that from the past 5 days I only got one conversion and I don’t know if I should just wait or figure out a different strategy.

I got 265 clicks, my CPC is 24 cents, CTR 1.74%

My strategy right now is to just let the campaign run until I get enough conversions that I can segment them into 3 different campaigns: Over-performers, regular and underperformers/zombies.

    What do y’all think?

Google Ads requires a thorough setup to make it work effectively. It takes a couple of hours to start, then an hour a day for a couple of days, then an hour in 2 days. If this is your first try with Google Ads, then no strategy can help, you need to learn how the whole thing works.

Clicks/cpc do not matter much – a lot of sites on google content network send fake traffic. How many sales, contacts?

Why don’t you try different targeting? Target competitor websites, interests, keywords, etc.
