GuestOctober 12, 2023 at 10:45 pmAs others have stated here, Google Shopping is likely your best bet.
Get your feed properly optimized:
1. Relevant product titles
2. Good product images
3. Product GTINs
4. Start collecting reviews asap
5.. All relevant product attributesFocus on products above $60’ish so you have enough room to wiggle
Then, look at the SERPs and compare yourself to other competitors selling the same
Are they using better images? Lower prices or promotions? More reviews?
Try to stand out more than them however you can. Focus on products where there’s less competition, if there are any
As for the website, I don’t think it’s bad but could use a few tweaks
Try adding more social proof, urgency (limited time offers), trust badges, and money-back guarantees.
Add more images such as people actually playing the game, show the board in a more natural way. Design new images with text overlays explaining who this is for, what’s included, etc.
If possible, ads video gameplay too.

GuestOctober 13, 2023 at 12:51 amI just checked out your site and I think it’s a dead end category to pursue. Why would I buy from you? I can get this stuff from trusted sources from established retailers. I’d never buy from you because I have pre-determined buying destinations and would never buy from ads to begin with and I’m into all the things you sell. I imagine many others have the same mindset.
What is the value prop you could counter me with?
What is your elevator pitch for why I should buy from you before going elsewhere?
If you can answer those, then I we can keep working through the value prop and how you weave that into your campaign tactics

GuestOctober 13, 2023 at 2:13 amThe ONLY way to profitably run ads these days is with SKAGs (Single Keyword Ad Groups).
1) 1 worth-while buyer-intent keyword/search phrase
2) 1 set of ads with copy specifically tailored to the people searching this specific keyword/phrase
3) 1 specific landing page highly optimized with copy speaking to that same buyer. And like magic you will start generating sales.
If you’re running Google ads and not getting any sales, it’s either because your copy sucks or your offer sucks.
And if you want to maximize your ROAS, you need to install a good heat map and CRO tool to optimize your headlines and placement of your CTA.
You can run profitable ads on Google. But you can’t be stupid about it.

GuestOctober 13, 2023 at 4:35 amI’ve been getting A LOT of spam and garbage traffic on Google lately. And if your keywords are general, you’ll pay for click fraud galore.
Abandon google, go paid social. Start with Meta ads audience targeting, and if you can build retargeting into your budget, do that. But make sure to set a frequency cap, which controls how often one person sees your retargeting ad. With a small budget I’ll do 1 per 24 hours.

GuestOctober 13, 2023 at 4:38 amYour problem is NOT google ads or any ppc!!!
Sorry to say, but your website is BAD, very bad.
What is the conversion rate?
You probably don’t know, and that is one of your problems.Do you splittest your pages, your ads, your headlines, subheadlines, colors of these, CTA buttons etc.
Best advice I can give you:
Go to Youtube, search for Alex Hormozi, watch his videos, go to his website acquisition.com, watch and implement his two FREE courses, and probably buy his 2 books for $50 on Amazon.
I have been in online marketing for about 25 years, spent over $10M in ppc with great Roi, been in all best masterminds, seen all the best of the best marketing and psychology courses and gurus, read over 1000 related books etc.
All this to say, that if I had to start over and learn it all again, I would be very happy if a guy like Alex Hormozi would exist.
This guy is a beast!!!
Hands-on, to the point, implementor of what he preaches, and best of all, it really is for free!
His two books and extended free courses are all you need to study AND implement.
His knowledge and experience will save you years of searching, learning and implementing.
There is not one ‘online guru’ that comes even close to his level, for anyone to enjoy for free!! ( oh, he has 2 books that might cost you $50; No-brainer!!)
You have a lot to learn and thanks to such a guy, you have an amazing resource.
Don’t spend another dime on ppc until you understand and have implemented what you’ll learn there.
It’s pure gold or better… Uranium!!
And no, I have no connection to him. Just discovered him about 3 months ago.
I wish he existed 25 years ago. It would have saved me a lot of time and money invested in ‘great’ online courses and seminars and masterminds.
All the best, never give up and don’t permit those ppc crooks to suck you dry.
Lastly, Google & Facebook are the most corrupt, legally permitted low-life scumbags and thieves that planet earth has seen!! Modern cucarachas.
They have only ONE objective and one purpose of existence, which is to suck you dry and steal your money under the false promise of ‘promoting your business’. ( next to mass-manipulation and brainwashing of course)
That being sad, you can beat these cucarachas on 1 condition, you need a big heavy shoe to smash all the possible juice out of them, and the name of that shoe is called…
(Magnetic) MARKETING!!
Oh, (there goes my karma), never ever work with an Ad Agency!!
They are the pick-pocket thieves, working as slaves for these cucarachas, sucking you dry even quicker!
DIY, find the shoe, smash it on them as hard as you can.
Once you have been able to scale to $500-$1000/ day with a positive ROI, find an experienced, independent PPC expert, best referred by a successful entrepreneur you know.
Tell them what you want, set specific goals and KPI’s, hold weekly meetings to FU and improve, give them a bonus to excel and watch how they smash all the juice out of these modern cucarachas.
Till this day I still hate spending one cent on them because, once you know ( and you will find out) how they sophistical steal your money, you know.
And it is truly disgusting.
However, as long as they ‘give you back’ 2x, 3x,…, the money you gave them, you can endure the pain and enjoy the juices your ‘shoe’ smashes out of them.
(Magnetic) Marketing…
Good luck. You can do this.
Check out that guy.
You’ll love it. -

GuestOctober 13, 2023 at 6:21 amHmm, although not a Google Ads advice, but hopefully would be of help to you. It pertains to your website’s ([boxcatgamestore.com](https://boxcatgamestore.com)) physical aesthetic & content.
???? Product Images
????I think that some of your Product Images can use some improvement. Kindly take this one as an example.Product name: My First Castle Panic.
The product images are not sharp and could possibly be a deterrent in your potential customers’ decision.????Homepage
????I saw that you have a blog (?) for some of your products. At first glance, I thought it was a product page but apparently that wasn’t the case. Try placing a Title Heading to clearly show that it is a blog. Not only would it look more organized but can help attract your potential customers as well. Try something like “*Recipes for a Fun Weekend*” or the likes.
???? Blog Titles & Content Format
???? Try getting straight to the point. For example, instead of “Why My First Castle Panic is the perfect way to get your child into board games.” , try “*Getting Your Child into Board Games the Perfect Way*”???? Rather than fully relying on paragraphs, try adding some infographics for better aesthetic & would help the reader know what the blog content would be about at first glance.
???? You can also try adding some research-related articles or quotes (with permissions of course) to help strengthen your blog’s credibility.
For example, your blog, *”Why My First Castle Panic is the perfect way to get your child into board games”* has a lot of possible researches that you could connect it with. Try searching for “play as a tool for learning” or “learning through play”.I hope this helps. Good luck and have a nice day! ????

GuestOctober 13, 2023 at 6:52 amIf you’re looking for advice on promoting your board game store and targeting an audience of 18+, there are a few suggestions I can offer. Firstly, it’s important to understand that different advertising platforms may yield different results for each business. While you haven’t had success with Google Ads, you have seen some sales from Reddit and followers from Facebook. This could indicate that your target audience is more engaged on these platforms. To start, I would recommend focusing on the platforms that have already shown some level of success for your store. Facebook ads could be a good starting point since you’ve gained followers there. Utilize the creative and engaging tone of voice to create eye-catching ad content that showcases the unique aspects of your board games. Engage with your followers by posting regularly, sharing interesting content, and encouraging them to spread the word.
Additionally, consider exploring other social media platforms such as Instagram and Twitter, where you can connect with potential customers who share a passion for board games. Engage with relevant hashtags, join communities, and collaborate with influencers or content creators in the gaming niche.
While Google Ads may not have worked for you in the past, it’s worth noting that they can still be effective for certain businesses. If you want to give it another try, consider refining your targeting and keywords to better reach your desired audience. Conduct thorough research on keywords related to board games and aim to appear in searches that potential customers might conduct.
Ultimately, a combination of targeted Facebook ads, engaging social media presence, and possibly Google Ads can help you reach your target audience of 18+ and increase sales for your board game store. Experiment, analyze the results, and make adjustments accordingly to find the best advertising strategy for your specific business.

GuestOctober 13, 2023 at 12:58 pmHere are some strategies that may help increase sales and reduce cost per acquisition for you:
1. Instead of trying to sell board games directly, create a lead magnet or offer for customers to sign up for. Then you can cheaply follow up with these leads to send them content, store updates on new releases and discounts, and sales. This way you are building a relationship and increasing your chances of selling
2. Try using a full-funnel campaign strategy. Depending on the games you are selling, they likely have their own brands built so you don’t need to really persuade someone on a particular game if it’s popular already (i.e Monopoly). However, someone who searches “buy monopoly” likely does not know about your store, what differentiates you from other stores, what price points you offer, and why they should buy from you. They are in the buying stage for the game, but are not aware of your business yet. You could try running a top-of-funnel campaign to showcase the different games you have and tell your story in a video. Then you could retarget these people with an offer for a discount if they sign up for your newsletter. Finally you could retarget/email bottom-of-funnel customers offers to get them to buy. Board games are widely available so you have to differentiate yourself and build trust prior to asking for the sale in order to stand out.
3. Find a survey/usability test site to run a test of your website with actual users. Get feedback to see if your site is easy to navigate, if the price points make sense, etc. Use this feedback to improve the site and experience overtime for various factors (site speed, navigation ease, mobile friendliness, etc) -

GuestOctober 13, 2023 at 6:27 pmYou need to review your social selling.
What is it that you do on Reddit and elsewhere that gets you sales that don’t happen with some keywords and an unoptimised landing page? How do you generate the following forces of behaviour on Reddit?
1. Create a Pull for your board games
2. Push people to take action and buy your board games.
3. Reduce anxiety and create trust.
4. Demonstrate that your board games are 10x better than what they currently solve their job now. (Inaction)I’d hazard that you go a lot further into the buyers process that you do currently with raw PPC campaigns spend and a landing page.
You solve for the job here but are far far away from it with the lighter touch that is paid ads.
Solve for the Job to Be Done by your board game no matter what the channel. You are probably intuitively doing it in communities but not with the paid channels.
