SPAG? Using Single Product Ad Groups for Product Variants Question.

Posted by seohelper on May 13, 2020 at 11:06 am

Scenario: You are selling sofas using Google Shopping, you have a style of sofa that comes in different materials and colours. Each Material/Colour Combination is a separate product page on your site.

    > Can you create single product adgroups for each of the variants so that multiple variants will show under the same search queries like “hypothetical sofa brand”?

Yes, I am using 3rd party web application PPC Bee for creating automatic creation for those adgroups. Also similar web app is Blue Winston. Try it out.

You could do that and it may make sense. You could also just break thing down at the SKU level in a product group. We use [Optmyzr](https://www.optmyzr.com/?ref=takesomerisk) to build all our shopping campaigns and it even lets you build out SPAG in seconds. Saves a huge amount of time on larger shopping feeds.

I would use product variants instead, much more efficient. You can still use SPAGS if you’re so inclined, but this would reduce the bloat of many duplicate SKUs.

We use Channable, so we can make SPAGS and promotion extensions based on a live feed.
