SOS BOTS IG ❗️❗️❗️
My clients account has had 3k bot accounts follow them in the last 30 minutes.
What would you guys do? Turn the account to private? Report every single bot account?
My client is an influencer with a substantial following and MULTIPLE fake impersonator accounts.
Advice welcome!
Another thing to note: this is a red flag bc our engagement has actually been going DOWN bc of all the spammy accounts impersonating my client. Old followers have said they unfollowed my clients account bc they didn’t know which one was the right account.

3K is a lot at once, yeah, it would be really time-consuming to remove each one individually.
There are tools specifically designed to get rid of bots in one go, but I would be cautious to use the right one, as they are seen as third-party services. There are some services that have an official partnership with Instagram.
Be sure to also warn followers that you are going to do a cleanup if you do it manually or use the automated version.
