  • Social Media organic va paid ads

    Hi,
Recently I am a little disheartened with organic social media in a real estate agency.

I measure several monthly leads that come from
    organic channel <5% of leads
    And paid channel >95% leads.

It came to the point the creative team is very reliant on paid ads to generate leads.
On one of the month we tried not paying for ads and we generated 0 leads.
The agency is forced to use paid channel for the digital marketing.

The principal of the real estate agency feels that the organic channel creative team is solely there to support to produce creative for the ads only. Cause if without the paid ads no leads is generated thus the wages spent on the digital marketing team ends up as waste of budget.

Any advice of a digital marketing team that fully relies on paid channel is “normal”?

The various platforms are in the “Harvest” phase of business. They devoted enormous resources to drive millions of users to their platforms, and now they want to get paid. Paid ads are boosted to the very top of the viewers’ feeds, while organic is not. It’s now “Pay-to-Play.”

sounds like the paid ads are driving the majority of the leads, it’s pretty common for businesses to heavily rely on them. organic reach can be tough, especially in a competitive industry like real estate. adapt or die, that’s the game these days.

Organic doesn’t make sense when it comes to real estate. It’s always paid ads. In real estate SEO is also not considered they directly go to SEM. Hell lot of money is put at once .

We should start by saying that using social media to generate customers is a bad strategy. In 2023, businesses use SMM to build awareness and trust, not sales. There are other tools to generate customers. Stop relying on channels that won’t work in YOUR niche.
