  • Social Media Management Tools – still worth it?

Posted by Many_Adagiow on September 18, 2024 at 9:04 am

I run my own business and we are present in 9 different cities, with an instagram and facebook profile for each city – so 18 accounts in total. At the moment I'm paying someone to post manually twice a week (when we post on insta it is automatically shared to facebook) but I'm wondering whether I should ask her to use a social media management tool instead.

I've read a few negative things about them though, including that more recently Instagram and Facebook are wanting people to post natively – so would like to ask your guys expert advice, is it worth it? As far as I can see:

    Negatives

    • Potential to be listed as spam by IG and FB? Is this true?
    • Cost (with so many accounts the cheapest I've found is socialpilot which is still £40 per month)

    Positives

    • Time saving
    • Easier to manage and to see exactly what will be posted and when and make changes

If you use only FB & IG then why not schedule it via Meta business suite?

They’re great for scheduling and organizing posts, so you don’t have to manually wrangle all 18 profiles. Sure, there’s the worry about Instagram and Facebook’s native-posting love affair and the cost of these tools, but if you use them wisely, they can be a lifesaver. It’s all about finding the right balance between convenience and keeping the social media gods happy.

Social media management tools can be a game-changer, especially with 18 accounts! They streamline scheduling and analytics, which saves time and keeps everything organized. The key is to find a balance—using tools wisely without over-relying on them.

Managing 18 accounts manually is a hassle. Paying someone to post on your behalf on 18 different accounts can also increase the chances of human error. It is better to use a social media management tool.

I work at an agency and some clients like to supplement our posts with their own, so we give them access to our services.

Well, the service we use allows them to have their own login and do exactly what you’re wanting.

The service we use is Cloud Campaign, but others probably offer it too.

This might not help, but it’s an option.
