  • Social Media Design & Questions: about what a “post” really means

So I am or have been a designer, old school web designer, a motion graphics/3D generalist, a technology person, and a beginner digital marketing individual.

I’ve been around. But when someone asks to do their socials my first inclination is to start busting out a video. So when someone asks for simple weekly posts and then hand over a bunch of photos, video, and assets my brain goes kablooey because I all I see are things that need to move and make noise (the good kind).

What does it mean to you when someone asks for simple social posts on IG and FB?

means the visual and caption is your posted message. so it could be just a simple text, or with a static image, or with an animated image, or an accompanying video—–which really depends on the context of your message, and how you aim to stop people from scrolling to see and hear what you gotta say.
