    Hi

I’m relatively new to the game of social media management and I’ve been researching social monitoring and listening.

I really want to implement this into my social media strategy but I have hit somewhat of a speedbump when trying to set this up on Hootsuite – my companies management platform of choice

On Streams, I seem to be able to monitor keywords, mentions, searches etc for channels like Twitter and Facebook, but when I got to set it up the same way for LinkedIn my only two options are to monitor my own Company Updates and Scheduled posts.

Am I missing something? Is it not possible to monitor keywords, searches etc from Linkedin?

Is Hootsuite a reasonable tool for social listening or should I be trying to suggest another software to my higher ups?

Any tips when it comes to social listening?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hootsuite gives it a rundown [on their blog](https://blog.hootsuite.com/social-listening-business/). It doesn’t look like there’s a really good way to do this with LinkedIn, but try chatting with them when logged in and they can help tell you whether it’s doable or not.

LinkedIn’s API doesn’t allow much in the way of listening — it’s not Hootsuite’s issue.
