  • Should I buy an aged domain with no backlinks?

Posted by seohelper on March 9, 2020 at 7:09 am

Are old domains with no backlinks a waste of money? I currently own a 8 month old domain and found out it takes around 2 years to get to Google num 1, as opposed to older domains. Or maybe the person who told me that lied.

They are ‘indexed’ by googled for having their page up for sale.

Anyways, would it be worth the money (approx $1k) to buy an old domain or should I continue working on my current one?

Not for $1K! A domain with no backlinks? Worth $1K? Google is very quick to index content, and still gives new domains an initial boost in rankings. So, there’s no benefit in buying an older domain, especially if it has no backlinks.

Having an old domain does help in improved ranking but buying an old domain with no backlinks for $1k is not a good idea. Save the money instead and work on your current one.

It depends. If the domain is 10 years old and was registered in google search console all that time and had an regular content updates then YES. But it will only give you priority to be crawled and indexed faster.

It is also true if your new domains onsite SEO was done perfectly you’ll get better rankings soon.

But 1k for old domain? Without backlinks?
Spend 1k and get backlinks to your current domain, you’ll get ranked faster…
