  • Separating out business and personal on Facebook?

I have recently started to run into some trouble with Facebook. My account has been flagged for removing content that violates their terms of service a couple times. The problem is that I think it’s a Facebook page that I own and run which is causing the violation.

After the most recent violation, I noticed that a particular page has had people’s ability to like and comment restricted. However the only thing that I post on the page 90% of the time is inspirational quotes. I can’t see how this is a violation. There have been what appears to be many comments made by either bots or spammers which I take down as quickly as possible.

I’d like to find a way to separate out the two as much as possible. So that I don’t have to run the risk of losing everything.

What are your strategies for keeping things separate?

Create a separate Facebook account for your business using a different email. Manage the business page from there to keep it separate from your personal activities.

One, each time you get a message related to that consider reporting it to Meta if you know the content was original. There are scam folks who live to send out what looks like that official message from Meta. One of frequently manages social for a nonprofit and has had to do that several times, and he only uses content he creates using royalty free images and music or those he personally created. Second, look at the content you are sharing. If there is a way to tweak it so all graphics and music are original content do that.
