    Hello everyone,
A bit of a newbie learning some basics of SEMrush and I have some questions about the organic traffic tab and how to interpret the results.

    * Firstly – are these ACTUAL page visits or an estimate / prediction based on KW volume?
    * We have been seeing decent / strong growth in organic traffic, not exactly a hocky-stick chat but very strong growth, almost doubling the organic traffic since the start of the year.
    * In the ”keyword positions tab we are up 22.48% percent from a month ago.

While this all sounds great, how can we measure what factors exactly are leading to this growth? Is there a good technique to pinpoint the reasons for success? We’ve been doing some blogging targeting specific keywords and wondering how to tell what impact they are having.
    Any help or tips appreciated!
    Cheers

Tools like SEMrush provide an estimate on traffic. (More accurately, it’s an estimate made on flawed data, but that’s a much more complicated discussion.) The data it provides about traffic from specific keywords isn’t accurate.

You can set up keyword tracking through SEMrush or other tools to track your progress with specific keywords over time. Just keep in mind that the traffic numbers aren’t terribly reliable. It’s also worth setting up gial tracking to monitor your conversion rate as your rankings improve.
