Search keywords by demographic
I'd like to optimize my content for a specific profession. I can look up what competitors do, or do some guess work to come up with keywords a given profession might be interested in and check keyword planner or ahrefs.
However, is there any better solution? Maybe some tool I'm missing out on.
Ideally, I'd like to see what a specific profession in a given country tends to search as a list of queries.

you’re on the right way with competitor analysis and keyword tools. For profession-specific searches, try Google Trends or Answer the Public. They can give you insights into what people in certain fields are looking up. LinkedIn’s content analytics might also offer some clues…
