Same Location + Same Keywords. Is it a violation?

Posted by alpho1234 on October 11, 2022 at 2:43 pm

I have a client who has a service based biz whicgh can be both mobile and shop. But my client is BOTH mobile (goes to the customer) AND owns a shop (customer can come to the shop)

We started off doing the mobile side – created a landing page for this specifically and it’s going well.

He wants to do it for his shop so we created a new landing page (a sub-domain of the original landing page but with slightly different content) for that specifically but the issue is:

He wants to target the same location and the keywords we are targeting are the same for both the mobile and shop campaign

Is this a violation of google’s policy? Doesn’t this mean we will be competing against ourselves?

Hmm I don’t have a direct answer to your question but might have another hint on what you should do :

If I understand this correctly, your client wants to run the exact same campaigns for 2 slightly different landing page, and the thing that differentiate both of them is the device the prospect is using, such as :

prospect on mobile device -> mobile aimed landing page
Any other device -> Shop landing page

The thing you can do is use the tool “OneLink” to create a single link (which will allow you to run one single campaign) that will redirect prospects on a mobile device to the right landing page and any other device prospect to the other landing page

    I hope it’ll help 🙂
