Sales and social media
Posted by shattwr on July 15, 2024 at 2:41 pmI’m trying to understand how companies get sales through social media. Can you get sales through social media even though you never spend money on ads?

GuestJuly 15, 2024 at 3:05 pmI’ve definitely had click throughs and reactions to a client’s webshop, even though Facebook doesn’t like you using external links. It’s all about what the audience wants.

GuestJuly 15, 2024 at 3:07 pmYes you can. Identify your objectives and points of conversion. Create compelling content that drives traffic to those points of conversion. Your messaging has to be well crafted and your conversion has to be well designed. But it can absolutely be done.

GuestJuly 15, 2024 at 5:27 pmYou absolutely can. I’ve never paid for ads, I do everything organically (mainly on FB) and just hit over $13k in revenue.

GuestJuly 15, 2024 at 7:55 pmYes, you can. I teach and sell an online course, and I grew both my IG and TikTok pages organically to over 100k followers in 12 months, and that’s where I got most of my clients from. Never did paid ads on either of these, because I’ve done it in the past on a different IG page and felt like it messed up my organic reach afterwards, possibly to force me into paying again.
Also, I don’t follow anyone on TikTok, and I only follow my other page on IG, as it is related to my work and to what the course is about. I’m only saying this because a lot of people think that following other pages is a must, when it’s actually not.

GuestJuly 15, 2024 at 11:57 pmYes you can but you should have an well-designed strategy. Usually platforms like Instagram are used for branding. Is the place in which you show the aspirational side of your brand and where you communicate the feeling you want your audience to associate with your brand or company.
It can be tricky but it’s most definitely worth it

GuestJuly 16, 2024 at 10:30 amI’m afraid today with the absurd commercialization of the Meta it’s barely possible. Maybe a minimal investment as a facilitator to the consistency of your media presence would be a perfect balance!

GuestJuly 17, 2024 at 9:51 pmInstagram and TikTok have built-in marketplace tools that let people swipe up and buy directly without leaving the app. Plus, a strong social media presence can definitely drive people to your brand.
