Revive old ig account or start again?
Posted by narn555 on October 4, 2023 at 11:14 amHi, i’ve had my niche account for like 5 years now but stopped posting well over 2 years ago. I had 9k followers now 5500, still getting some random likes and follows. My best posts had reach of around 250k and 30k likes. i want to start again, is it worth reviving this account or it’s just better to create new? I’ve been in boosting groups and have used bots over that acc if that helps, thank you!

GuestOctober 4, 2023 at 2:58 pmAsk a social media manager bots is a No No for me because it will make your account spammy and with the algo as well since you mentioned you haven’t posted over 2 years ago you can still revive that account and start posting and engaging with your target market the key here is consistency and quality content and a great strategy once you got your momentum back and build your audience again that’s your way to go btw I have a question what’s the purpose of regaining this account again is it for sales? Brand awareness, or for leads I would love to know more about it

GuestOctober 6, 2023 at 2:17 amLook, with an account history that rich and those impressive stats, I’d personally recommend reviving the old one. Old followers are gold – they initially followed for a reason, right? Give them fresh, genuine content to reconnect. Reintroduce yourself, maybe a “Where I’ve been and where we’re heading” kinda post.
If you’re searching for content inspo, Boost App Social’s been my mojo for fresh, niche-aligned content. Who knows, your old audience might just need a little nudge to remember why they loved your content in the first place!

GuestOctober 6, 2023 at 2:06 pmReminds me of my friend’s situation. She had this fab fitness account, but life happened, and she ghosted it for a couple of years. When she decided to dive back into the Insta-world, she too was in two minds: revive or restart? She opted to stick with her old account, chiefly because she’d built a decent following. And let me tell you, the nostalgia factor worked wonders for her! Old followers were actually excited to see her back and were super supportive of her new content. With a bit of a strategy, like mingling your posts with trending hashtags, and maybe an assist from an organic growth service (she tried AscandViral and kinda loved it), you might just reignite that spark. So, sending you tons of good vibes for whichever path you choose! Curious – what’s your niche all about?

GuestOctober 6, 2023 at 4:05 pmIf you’re planning on staying in the same niche, definitely keep the account. People followed you for a reason, and liked your posts for a reason
If you’re going to post similar content (not in the exact niche), I would still keep the account. Bots and boosting groups aside, it seems like you had some good traction. Get the momentum going again, and you’ll see success
But if you’re changing the content of the account entirely, start from scratch with a new account
