Question about invoicing clients
This is probably a stupid question but I can’t figure out how to do this. I always hear you should invoice before you do any work but it takes a while between the first call and the moment you start posting. You can’t let clients pay for the time where you don’t post yet right? So when do you let the invoice period start?
And do you first charge for the days until the last day of the month and then have them all go from the 1st of every month or do you keep sending them at the same date as the first one?

Everyone will have a different policy and depending on the size of your client, they will also have standard payment terms. It also depends on the contract – are you invoicing per piece, per day, for a standard brief of work?? I’d just do it monthly.
