Question about Google Authenticator
Hi, I have a question about Google Authenticator App.
My client deleted his app, did not have backup codes.
He was using the Authenticator to log in to his company’s Instagram page. He had his Instagram connected to the Facebook page and used to run ads from company’s Ads Manager but once he logged out and now he cannot log back in because of Authenticator.
He downloaded the app again but the new one is not integrate with his company’s Instagram.
We are unable to send SMS code to his number too (I don’t know what’s the reason).
Do you have any idea what to do? We tried contacting Google’s support but it turns out they don’t have a dedicated team for security matters and Google Ads’ support is not specified in Authenticator issues. We also tried Google’s Help Community but nobody replied.

I had the same issue myself a few months ago when I got a new phone and I’m still locked out of my Facebook account.
It’s too late for both of us now, but to anyone reading this: take a screenshot of the QR code you use to set up each account and save it somewhere you can access offline. Print a copy, take a picture, whatever you need to do to keep it accessible if you ever get logged out.
