    Question about CSS CPC reduction

Posted by aknakukac on November 11, 2022 at 9:00 am

Hi! I find it very difficult to prove to my clients that the 20-25% CPC reduction expected from activating CSS is actually being reached.

Have you guys found a way of proving this? I think the test environment for proving this has to be very sterile, because CPC can be affected by a lot of things:

    \- General economical changes

    \- Competitor activities

    \- Campaign optimisation

    \- Campaign mix

    \- Change in bidding strategies

\- Change in advertised Shopping product mix (especially in automated shopping, like Pmax)

And the list goes on and on…

It’s just a myth. Our agency created a CSS to run clients accounts though it but there was never any reduced in cpc. Because there is no way to proved how much competiton for a given search query * ad rank
