Hi all, I found domain that has a DA of 2 and zero back links. It ranks #1 for a specific keyword.

The other 9 spots are taken by websites that have a DA of 80-95.

With proper offpage and on page seo, can I outrank the #1 spot if its DA is only 2?

    Thanks

DA is not a ranking factor.

I am monitoring a case where a website was hit with a thin content penalty. They thought they would be safe and should be penalised because they have a DA of 71.

Every page, every post, every individually staged piece of content can be ranked independently from any other page/post/content item.

A landing space for a search query is what a search engine is attempting to rank and serve.

It’s why I can make a website, and some of the pages rank 3 days later. Because for that query my content/page/post is better, more accurate for the query, or more credible.

It’s also why some businesses will never be able to compete on certain keywords in their industry, because the attention, money and effort paid to certain keyword queries and certain landing pages is extreme, and cannot be competed with reasonably for the business.

Also ** those holistic ranking numbers about how great a website is that come from mainstream SEO tools mean basically nothing.
