    Quality Score and Broad Match

Posted by mikiki310 on June 18, 2024 at 7:02 pm

    Hi,

I am having a hard time trying to raising the quality score of the keywords of a ad group. Most of them are at 2/10 or 3/10.

I have optimized ads and I think the problem is that many of those keywords are in broad match. I added broad match due to Google recommendations and the truth is that conversions have been increasing in recent months.

Do you think it is better to have a low QS in exchange for taking advantage of the power of broad match?

    Thanks for any help.

It’s not as big a factor as it was but that does sound a bit low. I’d break the three QS columns out and see if you can narrow it down a bit

As long as you aren’t having deliverability issues and are achieving your goals, it’s probably not the end of the world.

I would make sure that your landing pages are also using the keywords you are targeting (where possible). My understanding is that this can impact your score as well.

Ad Rank = CPC * QS (expected CTR, ad relevancy, anding page experience). However this is from SKAG which is being replaced with STAG.
