    Pmax not giving impressions ( 48h ) after changing location targeting.

    I was hoping for some quick input. We are an adventure sports activity provider in Hawaii. I opened the google account and went with Pmax just to get the ball rolling. I set up GTM for conversion tracking , all good.

    In analytics i noticed that we were getting a stupid amount of clicks ( like 13K daily ) from India ( which is not a natural market for us ) so i changed to these settings.

    Now we are getting no impressions ( ppc, display ,YT etc ) . I know from other brands we have adwords on there should be many impressions for our niche.

    There are no reccomendations and no ” this is not approved ” messages , everything is basically ” green ” , should i just give in and select

    “Presence or interest: People in, regularly in or who’ve shown interest in your targeted locations (recommended) ” ?

    Is google ads location targetting ” buggy ” ?

    Depending on what you set your bid strategy to… that could be limiting your reach. You can also look at running search ads as another option.

    I feel you. I’d say the biggest change recently/pain in the ass is anytime you make a change Google seems to shut you down for an undetermined period of time and they don’t do a good job of communicating that, so most advertisers make more changes only compounding the problem/aggravation. Really hope Google gets better at insightful status of things post-changes versus the current state of things.
