I started a new business. The website is bodystats (dot) ca. not looking to break rule 2 of this subreddit. Just looking for seo things I can do.

    Things I’ve done:

Used rank math and tried to optimize pages

    Bought fiver links πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

Create a free resource section that currently has calculators. Soon I’ll add more recipes

Does anyone else know what I can do.

Check /robots.txt and I think you should change it. It’s not good.

I checked with ScreamingFrog. There are some issues on your site. For example, internal links on many pages are nofollow. You need to change that.

Don’t buy links from fiver, all are trash. And you need add E-E-A-T into your website, it’s very important for your niche.

I haven’t read any other comments, so forgive me if I repeat something.

First, your CTA needs to be one single request for action. Don’t split it into 2 things because you’ll lose them. Maybe consider offering a Demo? Could be a video of the machine, how it works and the benefits of using it.

Add a value stack directly after the hero image. This is 3-4 horizontal boxes that highight the main benefits of your offering and why people should care. Keep them short and scannable. You’ve got milliseconds to convince someone that what you’re offering is valuable and worth their time.

Shorten the blurbs under the 3 images, no one is going to read all that and it’s wasted real estate. Everything on your page should be very scannable and make sure you highlight the info/data you need the audience to see first.

I’d remove the “meet eric section” – the content on your home page needs to be about your audience/customer. I cannot recommend studing StoryBrand enough. Learn how to tell a story that positions your customer as the hero and your brand as the trusted guide they need.

Include more testimonials if possible and make it CLEAR that they’re testimonials. People often just scan for social proof on your website, so make sure they can tell it’s a client’s quote while scrolling quickly.

Once you choose your main CTA, add it to the bottom of every section, and don’t change it up. Keep it consistent.

Remember, clarity is kind. Be clear, easy to understand, and direct. Talk about the customer 3-4 times as often as your company on the home page.

I’d also recommend doing some keyword research and undrestanding the INTENT behind the keywords related to your business. Try to write some longform content that answers the questions that your audience is asking with complete transparency. Be open about your flaws and celebrate your strengths. Inject personality and unique insights into your content.

Start developing relationships with people who run high-authority websites related to your product. Backlinks are crucial for improving rank in search engines efficiently.

When I visit your website, my initial impression is that the content within your <p> tags is too dense. I believe breaking it into smaller paragraphs would make it easier for people to read.

Additionally, for the “Offerings” section, I suggest creating a dropdown menu to categorize the services you provide.

The “About us” section should be placed together with “Contact”。 “Blog” should be separated from “Free Resources” as they are not directly related.

Some of the images on the website have β€œalt” tags while others do not. This inconsistency is not good for SEO.

The website’s footer is too simple and lacks a privacy policy.

I recommend using the Google extension “Lighthouse” to analyze your website’s score. This can provide more effective suggestions for optimizing your website.
