One of our IG accounts is being pushed out as a “Similar account to follow” but another isn’t, any tips?
Hi guys,
We have a brand IG account with 17,000 followers and also personal accounts.
One of our personal Instagram accounts has been strongly associated with the brand account, when you follow the brand account you are suggested to also follow the personal account.
Then another account with almost the same content and quality of content is nowhere to be seen on the suggested list.
What factors are considered by Instagram to suggest accounts?
The only difference is, the one that is getting suggested is an older account, the account which is struggling is a newer account and also we followed/unfollowed to the first 500 followers (it now has 2100 engaged followers) so maybe that has shadowbanned it?

Forgive me if this seems like an obvious one to check, but it’s all I could think of.
There is a setting you have to select to appear in suggested, potentially one of your accounts hasn’t got this checked off.
