No conversions after 333 clicks and 4500 impressions! Google ads
Posted by RetroNFT on August 5, 2024 at 8:40 amMy campaign has gone on for 11 days and has gained 333 clicks, 4500 impressions and a CTR of 7.38%. Yet no sales! I noticed most of my keywords weren't getting any impressions except the search keyword "natural pest control". I reckon that could be why most clicks weren't going for my product. Not sure what to do other than use other keywords
My landing pages mostly go here

GuestAugust 5, 2024 at 9:08 amAside from checking your keywords’ search intent, you may want to also test your funnel.
Make sure that everything works from the landing page up to the order thank you page. You can do this by making test purchases.
*most of my keywords weren’t getting any impressions*
What match type are you using and can you give examples of your keywords? -

GuestAugust 5, 2024 at 9:14 amLooking past the Ads setup, the website images are blurry, and if I’m not mistaken it’s winter in Australia, right? Not sure how keen people are to buy a fly trapper

GuestAugust 5, 2024 at 9:14 amMy brother in Christ…you need a landing page makeover.
Pop ups. Banners. Chat widgets. Then an itty bitty picture of a net full of dead flies.
1. Remove most of that shit. Shrink your top banner to only 1 line “FREE SHIPPING ON ORDERS OVER $39”
2. Shrink the size of your logo, make your header smaller.
3. Move your borrowed credibility badges well below the fold.
1, 2 and 3 should give you more real estate on your mobile landing page for a better hero image (friends enjoying an outdoor gathering fly free). You need a better headline, which should be a little easier to create once you have the right image.
4. You have pricing conflicts. I see buy 3 get 1 free for $57. Then I scroll down and see buy 3 get 1 free bundle for $38…which is the price of 2? Guess what? Rather than getting me to purchase one net full of dead bugs, you got all rapey and tried to sell me 4…and now I’m confused on pricing.
You’re going to get zero purchases unless your landing page builds excitement and trust. Sell 1 on the lander, then offer the bundle at checkout or via popup as a value add upsell.

GuestAugust 5, 2024 at 10:13 amAs others have said, the landing page needs work. It looks like a good product, but the site says otherwise.
You’ve got a great domain too.
On top of what others have said, I’d consider:
• Change the lime green to something more the colour of the net (something like #23ae68). Lime green makes it look cheap and tacky.
• Move the RSPCA, etc logos further down the page. No-one is going to buy just because of those logos, they are much lower importance, and also need some explaination. Do you donate to them? Have they endorsed the product? etc
• Make sure all your icons, graphics, photographs are nice and sharp and high-res. People see low res blurry graphics and subconciously think cheap rip off stuff
• Without scrolling, I (the reader) needs to instantly be able to see what it is, how it works, what the benefit is to me. This can be done with images or text.
• I’d suggest doing some research on high conversion single product landing pages and look at some examples of those.Don’t be discouraged by my or others feedback. I think once you sort out the landing page you’ll be alright.

GuestAugust 5, 2024 at 10:41 amDid your site get hacked? Clicking on the shipping policy link on your site (i think the contact page) tries (and fails) to open Mypetsfun.com
As someone else said, check seasonality. I am running some fly screen campaign and they tend to get busy during late spring, up until autumn. Definite downturn in the winter.

GuestAugust 5, 2024 at 2:03 pmI dont think for a minute that your website is the problem, I am sure all the other posters have made great suggestions on improvements, but thats not the matter at hand here.
Install mouseflow on your page, its free for 1000 visits a month. Look to see if people stay longer than 10 seconds, 10 seconds or less would indicate bot traffic. You will also be able to watch video play backs of every site visits. Make sure the scrolling is consistent with a human reading yoursite. Are all the IP addresses from the same place. That’s step 1.
Step 2. what type of campaign? what are your conversion goals, is your conversion tracking set up. Tell us more about the G ads setup. Have you reviewed the search term report? Is the traffic only on mobile or desktop? Do you have locations setup? if so where? Is your location setup to make people are within your location radius?
Step 3. make a test purchase right through to the end, ensure there are no hidden issues with your card processing etc
You are flying blind right now, and you have to get some eyes on the situation, and blurry image is NOT your problem.

GuestAugust 5, 2024 at 2:51 pmYour site triggers my fight or flight response with all those elements. Pop ups, chat, the colors….its a lot. I wouldn’t convert if I saw it out in the wild.
