New to YouTube advertising: Best way to exclude children’s channels?

Posted by HispanicNach0s on May 23, 2024 at 3:05 pm

Hey all I recently got my first foray into a video campaign outside of Facebook/LinkedIn.

We're targeting mostly by topic interest in education and website visitor however this leads to a lot of parents who are clearly letting their children use their YouTube accounts.

Rather than manually exclude every variation of Cocomelon, what's the best way to exclude showing on content for children? Am I missing an easy setting somewhere? Thanks yall!

Tools and Settings -> Content Suitability -> Excluded Content Themes -> Exclude “Content suitable for families”

This will exclude “Content that’s suitable for families to view together, including Made for Kids videos on YouTube.”
