  • new FB page and IG account: should i start with 1 post or more and back dated?

I have set up a new facebook page and a business account on IG for my girlfriend who just published her first book and needs to start promoting it.

For various reason she didn’t open these accounts months ago when we were still working on the book and we lost the chance to create content to build a following and hype pre-launch.

now we are going live but my question is: should we start inviting friends and other people to a page with just the first post or should we populate the page and the IG account with more backdated posts?

I’d suggest you populate the page with at least 10 posts and run ads (small budget) for engagement for every one of them.

This way you will may get a good number of followers, if your targeting is right, for both your FB and Insta profiles.

Then you could start inviting friends and family and everyone else. It’s always nice to follow a page with good content and proven content (hence the engagement ads).
