New Customer Acquisition Goal on Campaign Level

Posted by n0brain_n0pain on May 21, 2024 at 11:38 am

So here is the case: My client has two products, let's just call them Product A and Product B. For simplification purposes let's also assume there is only two campaigns, one for Product A and one for Product B. My goal is to exclude purchasers of Product A from the campaign targeting this product and exclude purchases of Product B from the campaign targeting Product B. The "old" way would be to do this via Customer Match/Audience Exclusion.
I want to use the new customer acquisition goal with targeting set to new customer bidding only. But this does not let me define my customers on campaign level, instead in only pulls the customer lists from account level? Is there a workaround for this?

If you are running PMax, audiences are only a signal. If you are using the new “lapsed customer” PMax Beta, I don’t think there is a work around for this.
