I recently started a new job as in house social media manager for a brand new company. They had previously only focused on Amazon and shopify sales but are recently trying to Brand themselves.
Their have zero social media and I was called in to assist. I held a similar role for a much larger company for almost three years and my results spoke for themselves. My old boss is friends with the new boss and was apparently boasting about my work ethic to his friend and then he “poached” me.
Well, honestly, it’s been almost a week since I got there and since I am still trying to get content and set everything else, sometimes my brain blanks out. I run out of ideas suddenly. Any help pls to grow from 0

    1. Do you have a mailing list?

    2. Do you have a budget?

    “my results spoke for themselves”

Why are you asking then? It’s the same thing but scaled down.

This is a golden opportunity for you to showcase your talents. Working with companies that currently have minimal or no digital presence is a breeze compared to those with established foundations. Every small improvement you make will be magnified, turning you into a standout performer. Once you’ve transformed their digital presence, confidently approach your manager in a few months and make a strong case for a well-deserved pay raise. You’ve got the chance to excel and reap the rewards, so seize it with enthusiasm!

I’m quite confident in my ability to elevate any brand from ground zero to exceeding 50k on all major platforms within just a few months, leveraging only a modest budget for supplementary paid advertisements.

What type of products or services are you dealing with? how easy is it to generate content? If its a hard proudct to make content for I’d suggest using a good AI image generator to give you some content to work with.

Depending on what the product or service is, I assume you’re already producing content that helps people in your target market in related ways, right?

Educational content can be really powerful if it’s useful and unique. That (of course) requires knowing your potential customers’ problems really well. Then, having answers to their problems that are better than what they could google on their own.

Some of those answers should involve your product or service (obviously) but you can really get traction if you have answers that they can use right now, before they buy your product or service.

Then, tell stories. Tell stories about the founders. Tell stories about why products were developed the way they were. Tell client stories.

Do you have any client support tickets? Do content answering the most common questions about using the product or service.

What would people need to know to make a decision about buying your product or service? What would they need to know to be a better user of the product or service? Make content about that.
