Negative keywords for P-Max campaigns coming soon!
According to this article from SEL Google will be rolling out the ability to add negatives directly to P-Max campaigns. Finally!
There have been a lot of positive changes with P-Max lately including better transparency and more control. Maybe Google is doing this because of litigation, but whatever the reason it's taking things in a good direction.

You can currently use account level negative keywords FYI.

Reps have had the ability to do it on their end for awhile, glad Google is giving the customer the ability.

It’s funny how they take away a feature, then give it back and people praise them for it. It should have been there from day 1, because it was clear almost immediately that the “performance” being “maxed” was conversions flattered by branded search terms.
I get that they never offered it with that campaign type to begin with, so they didn’t technically “take it away”, but PMax always seemed like a ploy to reduce transparency and place ads wherever they wanted to instead of letting us decide.

You can submit negative keywords for Pmax through request form since long time ago. Perhaps they received so many requests and decided to open the feature for public.
