Need help with my ecom site!.I think something’s wrong….
Hi all,
I need some advice, I currently working on my ecom site I have company running the SEO for past few months have spent almost 7k with them now since they started the project. However I logged I to my Google search console recently and I was shocked to see that im literally only getting 2 clicks a day! after 3-4 months of SEO work this should be alot better.I have spoken to few friends in the same industry one of them said he’s not done any SEO on his site and gets 300+ clicks a day and few sales through out the week. And I just spoke to him today he told me he helped a friend set up site last week and he’s had 2 sales already with NO SEO at all.
I feel like there’s some serious issues with the site that I’m not aware of. Is there anyone that can guide me on what to do as I’m at the point where I want to get rid of the SEO company as I’m blaming them. But my Google console has many issues which I don’t understand.
Is there any sort of audit I can get done on the site or have someone look my back end and Google console to figure what the issue is. I just want to know what’s going on so I can present something to my SEO company and say xyz. As they keep telling me it takes time to index. I was like I created product last week and it was indexed within 24 hours and it would come up in Google search.
P.s My website is built on custom PHP platform

Sounds like you are getting scammed if you can’t even tell what they are doing besides “seo work”.
SEO needs intentional, strategic and consistent effort.
2 clicks a day could be an issue with advertising and marketing though. As well as SEO. Or just a shitty product.
There are many companies that do audits. I do for example. But. Not from Reddit.

Is your site using an SSL cert from cloudflare? They give comprehensive reports on location of your visitors, the amount of visitors as well as time you page is taking to load and such, good place to start

I’m kind of the beginner of SEO but I would check what info does google pagespeed insights give. There might be a problem with the page’s speed and other common requirements from google that impact the performance.
Also, at this stage (3-4 months in) SEO should at the very least start showing a bit of the progress if they are optimizing the website. I worked on ecom site for quite a few years (only the last year we started a proper seo optimization) and it sure wasn’t a rapid change with seo, but I saw some positive changes within a couple of months. I mean the average visits per month went about 20-30% up within a few months (and within a year it went from like ~400 to ~1000).
It could have worked better if we fixed programming problems, but I don’t have much knowledge in them and the boss didn’t want to hire someone to fix it (he tried himself and failed in various parts). -
Dm me your site and ill do a site audit. There’s either something wrong with your site or they don’t know what they’re doing.

Where were you ranking before, and where are you ranking now?
Ask your SEO agency for the following:
– a list of changes they’ve made to your site, if any
– a list of backlinks they’ve made, if any
If they do not provide you with the list of backlinks, fire them immediately. You will not get results from this agency.
