So this instgram i follow have around 160k followers, has good videos his multiple videos are around 5-14mil, but he posted a story the other day that he is selling his account and the price was unbelievably low. Under $200. Seems to good to be true. It can be an account with fake followers but his engagement is also good, how can i assure that when i pay him he isnt gonna change the id pass and scam me

Buying and selling accounts is against TOS so even if you got scammed Meta can’t help you.

    Just don’t do it.

If you try to buy yourself into social media, you get what you get.

How do you know the engagement is good?

You don’t have the reach of the account.

Buying/selling is against ToS. As this is a subreddit for professionals, my advice to any professional is to not buy account/followers.

People don’t just magically engage with content just because it’s there – they’re engaging with that specific user’s content. If you just start posting randomly different content, you’re going to hemorrhage followers and tank engagement. If I’m following a meme account and it suddenly starts posting about nothing but, say, protein powder, I’m going to peace out as soon as I notice.

An account I used to follow did this and I was so annoyed/mad – and I don’t think they sold their account, just tried to monetize their followers.
