My tiktok views and followers dropped SIGNIFICANTLY, out of the sudden!!
Greetings to all! Please read it till the end because i REALLY need your help!
I have been growing my tiktok account for 2 months now and i have 6k followers and 470k likes. I live in greece so 6k followers is considered a good fanbase. I am known to have good engagement, almost every one of my tiktoks are on the foryoupage i have some viral videos with 250k views, i was gaining 100-200 followers per day and i was growing really fast.
Everything seemed to go well, but one day i woke up, posted a tiktok as usual, and it complitely died. I got barely 400 views in 1 hour which is nonsense because in 1 hour i usually have 1k+ views. This continues till today. Three days have passed since tiktok decided to “press a button” and complitely KILL my account. Since then, my views are only 1k-1.5k which is VERY LOW. I still get engagement, i encourage people to like and comment on my posts but with the only difference that it doesn’t make it to the foryou page and my content is not anymore pushed to new users, but only to my followers.
I have also noticed a significant drop in my followers. From 6.100 followers (April 11th), i dropped down to 6.031 (April 14th) and i barely gain new followers. This has NEVER happened to me again. Out of a sudden tiktok complitely “killed my account”.
I heard the term “shadowban”. I saw a way that you can check if you are “shadowbanned” so i logged out of my account and my videos appeared in the hashtags and my name also showed up when i searched for it. I really, DONT KNOW WHATS GOING ON. Am really stressed because i like tiktok and i really put effort on it and i dont want my account to just die out of the SUDDEN. I dont really wanna make a new account.
All this in 1 day. I really DONT KNOW WHY. Any help?

I don’t know if they fucked up something with the algorithm, but until like 2 days ago I used to get thousands of views and likes on my videos, since yesterday the videos that I published can’t even get 1 view lol? (While my old videos still get on the fyp)

Chill fam, it’s just began.
My advice is keep posting, post more than normal and you’ll get back up.
IG used to be that simple but now its all about adapting to change, don’t be emotional about anything engagement spikes and drops are normal.

Same here, I would’ve understood, but I have a large engagement ratio, at least compared to the past. I’m still really small (under 1000 followers), but this is just weird

Hello, this is urstrulyisri, yes I got a similar problem recently but I get new followers but my views have significantly dropped which makes me stressed out as I took so much time to create my TikToks, plus injured myself. I was scared about shadowbanning as I do not want to restart an account. Couple famous tiktokers follow me so, I really don’t want to restart my account. The only reason I delete videos is to add a soundtrack, dull lighting(so i reshoot them in better lighting), and sometimes mess up my comments, as unlike Instagram, you cannot edit your captions. Need some help understanding more about TikTok’s algorithm and the shadowban process, thank you all, TikTok: urstrulyisri , hope y’all follow, like, comment on my videos, and have a great day, praying that covid19 will come to an end.

I used to go viral on every post i did, getting millions of views and had 30k followers with more than 1.3 million likes. The past month has been so weird, my following dropped to 28.9k and my videos are now getting 600 views on average. How does this make sense??? They had to change something drastically. It honestly sucks. Some friends think it started when famous people started joining and getting all the engagements instead or regular people posting funny content. I’m very unmotivated to say the least.

Same dude I have over 60 videos with very consistent views ranging from 2000 to 30000 but now I can barley reach 300 with my 4900 followers which seems weird considering even with 5k followers I should get at least 1 to 2k views
