  • my once successful tiktok account has failed… please help.

hey! so basically, my TikTok account has 31.1k followers and 1.3M likes. It was doing pretty good 2 weeks ago, regularly getting around 3.5k views per video and ~1k likes, sometimes going up to 10k+ views and 5k+ likes.

One day though, my videos started to become less viewed, so I waited it out and I saw that I wasn’t getting many FYP views. (I always use #fyp and #foryou, in every post.) I assumed it was a shadowban, and I freaked out. I then deleted a bunch of failing videos and the first video that flopped. Then I waited and waited, sometimes posting, but often abstaining. It’s been around 12 days, and I’ve seen that my videos show up in hashtags. This makes me think that I wasn’t shadowbanned, but you’ll never know I guess.

Now I started posting some videos, and they **barely** get any views. (like only a 150 in 30 minutes…) and fewer likes than ever. I don’t know what is happening, but a couple of weeks ago, I would get like 70+ likes and a couple hundred views in the first 15m-1h. It’s really weird to me.

So I really don’t know what to do… should I bail on this account and make a new one? That is a lot of work, and I don’t want to do that if I could have just waited.

I also was thinking of making a second account in which I work on that one more, but I don’t know about that. I heard TikTok doesn’t like it when people make more than one account. So what should I do?

Should I just keep posting like regular, and it’ll catch steam soon? Or should I restart? Should I keep this account or not? Let me know guys, it’ll save me a lot of headaches! 🙂

Don’t ever delete your videos. How many times did you post to get to the 30k?

I only have a smidge of followers on IG and noticed that for a short while numbers were going up with likes and more frequent followers.

Now my posts are down with likes and followers.
Wondering if the algorithms are different across the board with most social media types?
I’m guessing based on the audience you’re trying to draw plays a factor.

Similar thing happened to me. I’m still trying to figure it out. Question: do you record straight from tik tok app, or do you upload the video, or a mix of both? I think tik tok is shadow banning people who upload videos too much instead of creating content directly from within their app/camera
