My ad creatives get clicks like crazy but I cannot figure out the next step – how to convert. Please help me with your ideas.
I'm a singer with a very small online following. My recent ads have been working like dynamite – with some of them I able to consistently get button clicks at 0.01 or less. In other words, spending $1000 can get 100,000 people to want to learn more about my music. To me, that is a dream.
The problem is I cannot figure out how to send them to anything that actually grows my fan base.
Sending them to my page when they click the button gets me very few followers. Why? I have few followers now and few people want to follow an account with <5K followers.
Sending them to Spotify doesn't work either: they are engaged in doom-strolling Instagram with all of its visual stimulation and nobody wants to actually stop that to listen to audio-only for the next 3 minutes.
Sending them to Youtube to the full music video doesn't work either, because they are instantly hit with two YouTube ads, so they go away. And Youtube doesn't let me de-monetize my videos.
So I have killer creatives and no way to convert it into a fan base.

Hey, so how have you structured the campaigns and the audiences?
You might need to broaden the audiences with a simple adv+ campaign or some lookalikes.
I’d suggest downloading your performance reports and asking ZuckerBot.ai to review them against your goals.
It should give you an idea of how to use the best ads to reach new audiences

May I know which Clicks metric are you referring to from your Meta Ads dashboard? (ie. Clicks (all) or Link clicks)
Also, perhaps you can also test out the Engagement objective. Use an engaging creative like a short snippet of your music video or song to drive Views (ie. video plays 25%, 50% 75%, 2-sec continuous video plays, etc). There are more video metrics that you can check and work on.
Maybe, as more people are watching and enjoying your videos – these will translate more to legit followers and fans.

Why don’t you just buy followers and then send them?
Also do you remarket? You 100% should remarket given your industry

I think getting folks to leave the app is going to be better suited for people who are already fans. I’d experiment with running some ads with the awareness campaign objective.
Then hit those folks with an engagement objective so they’re getting multiple hits from each objective. The point with these first two is to promote your social page.
Hopefully by then your insta will see some growth. Accompany the ad campaigns with great organic content on your page to entice new and old audiences to engage and go to your Spotify/yt/mailing list/whatever.
Do low budget tests to hone your strategy and creative. Dump budget into successful campaigns.
