Multi-location doctors office. Should we keep to one Google ads account or multiple ads accounts

Posted by Sachimarketing on November 13, 2023 at 4:02 pm

I have a doctor with 4 locations. Should we start a new ad account for each location? Or is it better to keep to one ad account?

If I keep to one ad account, can we sync multiple Google My Business listings to that one location?

I would do 1 Google Ads account. And yes, you can link all GMB location profiles to the appropriate location in Google Ads assuming that you set up each location as separate campaigns which (for targeting alone) I am assuming you were planning to do.

Do you have one website? And will the billing for each location need to be separate?

Best practice would be one account – it’s also the only option if you have one site or you’re looking at a circumventing systems penalty and suspension.

Edit: you can sync the GMB / GBP locations to a single account

One account is the way to go here. Syncing multiple GMB listings is no issue.

One account. Question though, does your client know you aren’t familiar with handling Google Ads? Both of your questions are extremely basic and somebody running marketing for a doctors office should already know this.
