Minimum amount of conversions before switching to maximize conversions

Posted by Super_Cover8035 on May 11, 2024 at 2:59 pm

Hi I was wondering what everyone's recommendations are before switching to maximize conversions on how much conversion volume you should have. Is it a per keyword basis, or just across the entire account?

Minimum 30-50 in last 30 days ideally for the campaign you’re wanting to enable it on. And ensure they are the right type of conversion first (e.g relevant audience, not spam, not low value conversions if that’s not the type of customer desired etc).

It needs enough data to work properly and you need it to have the right data to allow it to get you the right conversion.

It depends entirely on what type of conversions you’re after and how well they are recorded via consent mode & enhanced conversions. There is no point in counting a web page hit as conversion if you want leads etc. so just make sure you have excellent conversion tracking in place and the full spectrum of conversions being tracked. Also nobody has the answer. Google is a minefield now a days. It’s part luck and part skill

One thing that’s helped me is a conversion tag via GTM which fires only on 15 seconds of site time and 2 pages visited. I always start new accounts using thi as Max Clicks level and I can work out it if I’m on the right track
