Meta Descriptions Being Pulled From Other Pages
Hey there!
I’m an SEO Manager for a client that has a website with a fairly strong presence in organic search. They are a B2B site with various product pages, each containing unique information for the uses and needs that the product meets.
Recently, it was discovered that Google is displaying incorrect meta descriptions for several of these product pages. However, it is not doing so in the sense of rewriting the meta descriptions with text from the page. Instead, each page is showing the same meta description, which is the defined description for a different product.
Any ideas what could be causing this, or how it could be resolved? The meta descriptions are coded into the pages properly, so I’m not sure that recrawling will resolve the issue.
